Fair questions

Is the rebate actually real, or is the price marked up first?

It's real. Our pros commit in writing to charge their standard rates — the same price you'd get calling them directly. We ask for your invoice amount when you claim, so padded pricing gets caught and that pro gets dropped.

How do you make money?

The pro pays us a referral fee only when a job closes — 30% on cleaning, 15% on installs. Most of it goes back to you as the rebate; we keep the rest. That's our entire revenue, published right on the site.

Why 20% on cleaning but 10% on installs?

Materials. Roughly half an install invoice is the carpet and pad itself — nobody can rebate the cost of the goods. Cleaning is almost all labor, so the fee and your rebate can be bigger. Both numbers are in writing and don't move.

Do I ever pay CarpetBack anything?

Never. Estimates are free, matching is free, and you pay your pro directly. The rebate is money flowing TO you.

When and how do I get the money?

Within 14 days of confirmed completion — Venmo, check, or bank transfer, your pick. We text you the moment it's sent.

What if I'm not happy with the work?
